Experience some of the culture Winnipeg has to offer. Enjoy a guided backstage tour of the Royal Winnipeg Ballet, Canada’s oldest ballet company, which has performed in 567 cities world-wide. This Winnipeg facility has been referred to as the finest dance rehearsal facility in North America. The tour highlights include a historical background of the ballet company, architectural points of interest and a chance to observe the Royal Winnipeg Ballet students learning the fine craft of ballet. The tour also includes an inside look at the Wardrobe Department and observation room where you will have an opportunity to watch the RWB prepare for the next production. Next you will enjoy a guided walking tour of the Exchange District with its beautiful cobblestone streets and gorgeous late 19th Century architecture. The tour will tell stories of power, corruption and heroism of the citizens of the past and demonstrate where it all happened. This tour will allow you to see the inside of some buildings that are otherwise not accessible to the public. After working up an appetite, enjoy lunch at the Brooklyn Bistro, an Italian restaurant located in the heart of the historic Exchange District.

You will have an opportunity to tour the historic City of Winnipeg. This tour includes Winnipeg’s French District, St. Boniface. You will see the beautiful St. Boniface Cathedral, the oldest cathedral in Western Canada. The cathedral’s cemetery houses the grave of Louis Riel, one of Manitoba’s founders. You will also have an opportunity to enjoy the exquisite croissants of Le Croissant Bakery. Next you will view the Legislative Building and the magnificent dwellings of Wellington Crescent on your way to Assiniboine Park. Assiniboine Park is a 393 acre park located in the heart of Winnipeg. At Assiniboine Park, you will receive a guided tour of the Pavilion Gallery Museum, which includes the works of renowned Manitoba artists and the recently opened Pooh Gallery. The Pooh Gallery illustrates the history of the famous children character, Winnie The Pooh. At the commencement of the tour, you will enjoy the sumptuous cuisine of the Terrace 55 Food and Lounge Restaurant, overlooking Assiniboine Park. After lunch you will stroll through the quiet retreat of the Leo Mol Sculpture, Assiniboine Park Conservatory and English Rose Garden. The Leo Mol Sculpture Garden features bronze sculptures, porcelains, paintings and sketches by famous Winnipeg artist Dr. Leo Mol. The Conservatory is an indoor sanctuary that contains more than 8,000 flowers, plants and trees.
